Affiliate marketing is a good way for the novice to start earning money online. With no outlay or very little you can start selling other peoples products and get a percentage of that sale. You can advertise these products in various ways and it will cost you little. Free classifieds and forums are a good starting point.

1 Clickbank

This is probably the most popular affiliate marketplace online. It has hundreds of affiliate products to choose from in categories like Business, Travel and Health. Spend some time looking through the marketplace and see if there is something that you want to sell.

Look for something with a gravity of at least 20 but not more than 50. This means that the product is quite popular but not so popular that thousands of marketers are trying to promote it.

Go for a product that gives you at least 50% of the sale. I usually try for 75%.

2 PayDotCom

This is the same sort of site but with not quite the range of products. It also allows you to sell your own products on a pay-per-click basis. So if you have your own domain name or website you can promote it here.

3 TheSecondTier

The Second Tier only has a few products but they give all give the affiliate member a good return. You can also get commission if you recruit new members and they sell some of the products.

You also get training which gives you information on how to promote your affiliate programmes.

4 AffiliateFuture

The products on this site are all the sort that give you recurring payments. This means that once you have made a sale you will receive payments for it at a regular interval, usually every month. The returns are not as high as the one off payments are but you can earn more over time.

You can also allow merchants to advertise on your website if you have one.

As you can see affiliate marketing can be quite an easy way to earn money online. The rewards can be quite good if you work at it. Spend a bit of time promoting your products each day if you can. This means that what you are selling always remains a fresh item online.

Promote products you are interested in, otherwise you will not enjoy doing it. The four sites will give you a good variety of products to choose from and they all give some training although some of it is a lot better than others.
